Micro EDFA Gain Block Footprint Designed to fit into CFP2 Optics

This precise footprint enables the EDFA Gain Block to be coupled with a CFP2 housing for Analog or Digital Coherent optics ACO/DCO applications. The dimensions allow the Micro Gain Block to be mounted directly inside the CFP2 housing not requiring a separate packaging design. This advancement simplifies design and significantly reduces system component costs.

The Micro EDFA Gain Block is a turn key OA equipped with control circuitry, Automatic Power Control (APC) and Forced Laser Shutdown. In fact, it produces an amazing high powered output of up to 17 dBM. Embedded PD's pre and post pump laser allow for accurate power delivery. The state of the art device can also be equipped with a Variable Optical Attenuator (VOA). The power output can be adjusted from 0 dBm to + 17 dBm. The VOA can be coupled with an Optical Tunable Filter (OTF). In short, the Micro EDFA Gain Block is the best solution on the market.
